SHKODRA – THETH NATIONAL PARK

- Leave Tirana at 8:00 head toward the North of Albania to stop at the Castle of Rozafa. Learn about the castle's role in Albanian history, dating from the Antiquity and the Illiryan-Roman wars, and see the castle, built over the top of a hill. Discover the fascinating legends of the Albanian Epos and how it relates to the castle's history.

- Depart from the Castle and will head towards Theth, situated 80 Km from Shkodra, also known as ” The Village of renewable beauty”. A full day at Theth will give you the chance to explore the magnificent nature of one of the most visited Natural Parks in Albania. Located in the Northern stretch, the village of Theth lies in a deep valley surrounded by rocky, imposing mountains. We will also visit the beautiful Gurnas waterfall which is located around 45 min from the center of the village.

- Situated around 10 km from the center of Theth, this natural water pool is the highlight of the tour. With a depth of 5 m and icy waters (5°C), the Blue Eye is formed by the erosion of rock by the water that descends from the mountains.

- After visiting the Blue Eye we will have the chance to take a look at the Catholic Church of Theth and the Lock-in Tower. With more than four centuries of history, this building is the symbol of settling down the blood feuds in Albania.

After the visit of the Theth Village we will head back to Tirana for the end of our tour.
